PARENTS: Gates at the west end of the track and at the back of campus will be open at 11:00 am.

You may then proceed directly to the seating area on the field. Please look for seating separated by last name.

 

¨Balloons, horns and umbrellas will not be permitted on campus

¨Flower / candy leis and cell phones can be provided to the students immediately following the ceremony

Dear Eighth Grade Students and Parents,

 

The end of the year activities include the Boomers trip on Wednesday, May 30th,   Awards night on June 5th at 6:30 in the MPR, and Promotion on June 7th at 12:00 pm.

 

8th grade end of year activities criteria:

¨Students are to have no more than five referrals or five days of home suspension for the entire year.

¨Students with less than a 2.0 GPA will not be invited to participate in the end of year activities, including Boomers and Promotion ceremonies.

 

Students: If you have met the criteria for 8th grade promotion and have chosen to attend, keep in mind the following:

¨Rehearsal on June 4th, periods 7 and 8

¨Promotion on June 7th at 12:00pm on the upper field

¨Report to MPR at 10:45am through exterior MPR doors on June 7th

¨At 11:30am students will begin to proceed to the track and onto the field

¨Balloons, horns and umbrellas will not be permitted on campus

¨Flower / candy leis and cell phones can be provided to the students immediately AFTER the ceremony

 

Promotion Dress Code:

Students who plan on attending promotion ceremonies need to keep in mind that proper attire is required.  All undergarments are to be covered at all times. Shorts or hats will not be permitted. Cell phones need to remain with your parent/guardian until the end of the ceremony. Strapless or backless dresses will not be permitted and all straps on dresses must be at least 1 inch wide. Dresses and skirts must be at least as long as your middle finger (mid-thigh length). Shoes must be appropriate for grass field and dirt track. High heels would be dangerous on the field and track. This is our normal dress code.

Estimados Padres de Familia y Alumnos del Octavo Grado,

 

Entre las actividades de fin de año, están el paseo a Boomers el Miércoles, 30 de Mayo.  La Noche de Reconocimientos el 6 de Junio a las 6:30 en el Salón de Usos Múltiples (MPR) y la Promoción el 7 de Junio a la 12:00 Pm.

 

Requisitos para poder asistir a las actividades del 8º. Grado.h grado.

¨Los alumnos no pueden haber sido enviados a la oficina más de 5 veces, o haber tenido 5 días de suspensión durante todo el año,

¨Los alumnos que tengan un promedio menor del 2.0 GPA no serán invitados a participar en las actividades de fin de año, la cual incluye Boomers y la ceremonia de Promoción.

 

ESTUDIANTES: Si ha cumplido los requisitos para la promoción del 8o grado y elige asistir, por favor tenga en cuenta la siguiente información:

¨Ensayo el 6 de Junio, durante los periodos 7 y 8.

¨Promoción el 7 de Junio a la 12:00 en el campo del área superior (upper field).

¨El 7 de Junio, reportarse al MPR a las 10:45am en el área de las puertas exteriores.

¨A las 11:30, los alumnos empezaran a dirigirse a la pista de atletismo y al campo

¨Los globos, cornetas, sombrillas, collares de dulce deberán de dejarse en casa.

 

PADRES DE FAMILIA: Las puertas que están al final del lado oeste del campo de atletismo y las que están atrás del campo estarán abiertas a las 11AM.  Pueden proceder directamente al área de sentarse en el campo.  Por favor busque los asientos asignados por apellido.

 

Código de Vestido para la Promoción:

Los alumnos que tengan planes de asistir a la ceremonia de graduación necesitan tomar en cuenta que se requiere un atuendo apropiado.  Toda la ropa interior tiene que estar cubierta.  No serán permitidos los pantalones cortos o sombreros.  Los vestidos sin tirantes o descubiertos de la espalda no serán permitidos, y todos los tirantes de los vestidos/blusas deben de ser por lo menos de una pulgada de ancho.  Los vestidos y faldas deben de llegar al dedo mediano cuando los brazos están a los lados del cuerpo (más o menos a la mitad de los muslos).  Los zapatos deberán de ser apropiados para el campo de pasto y terracería del campo de atletismo.  Los tacones altos pueden ser peligrosos en el campo de atletismo.  Este es nuestro código de vestir de todos los días.

8th grade awards night details

Awards Night and Promotion Dress Code:

Students who plan on attending the awards night and promotion ceremonies need to keep in mind that proper attire is required.

For males: All undergarments are to be covered at all times and dress shirts and slacks are to be worn. Hats will not be permitted.

For females: Females will not be permitted to wear strapless or backless dresses and all straps must be at least 1 inch wide. Dresses and skirts must be at least as long as your middle finger (mid-thigh length). Shoes should be appropriate for grass field and dirt track. High heels would be dangerous on the field and track. This is our normal dress code. If students are in violation of the dress code they will be asked to make the appropriate adjustments before entering the MPR at 11:45.
