PASS Program

PASS (Promoting Achievement & Student Success) is a leadership and mentoring program that equips students to make positive choices in their lives and in their communities.  The PASS AmeriCorps mentors serve as positive role models and are trained and placed at school sites, providing individual and group mentoring, discussions, tutoring, grades and attendance reviews, community service projects, guest speakers, and field trips. The sky is the limit for our PASS AmeriCorps students!

Please Note:  The PASS AmeriCorps mentors will be providing services on site at King Middle School everyday in Room C-6.

Mackenzie E. Vischer

"Hello All! I'm back for my second year here at King Middle School. I enjoyed my time at King so much last year, I couldn't give up the positive vibes just yet. This year my goal is to support more of the student body as a whole. I am interested in becoming a resource for all students while specializing with my specific PASS students simultaneously. Some ways I plan to do so are by increasing my presence on campus through bigger school wide national service projects, partnering up with more clubs on campus, and gaining more face time with the student body in general. I'm looking forward to continuing to create positive relationships."

"Hello Everyone! I'm so excited to be a part of this community. I drove across the country from a small town called Keansburg, New Jersey. So far I am loving California and everything it has to offer. It has always been a goal of mine to work with youth. I graduated with a degree in Public Relations and Psychology, where I took courses focusing on child advocacy and children's rights. Education has always been a passion of mine that I am excited to share with the student body and administration. I look forward to a successful school year."
