King’s Vision Statement:

Students, Staff, and Parents of King Middle School are dedicated to relevant and collaborative learning at the highest scholarly level ensuring ethics, innovation, and global citizenship.

 

Introduction and Pledge:

 

Library: The library will be open during lunch time on Monday, Wednesday, Friday for 6th and 7th graders and Tuesday and Thursday for 8th graders

 

Jamba Juice: Jamba Juice will sold after school every Friday by the front gate for $3.00 so come out and get your Jamba Juice.

Due to rough housing and injuries, there will no longer be football allowed during break or lunch even on the field until further notice. NO FOOTBALL ALLOWED!

Please do not play tag on campus.  It is extremely dangerous.  If you chose to play tag, you chose to come to the office.  Stay safe and keep tag at home.

Note from the Health Office to all 6th grade students:   By law, all students entering the 7th grade must show proof of the Tdap immunization.  The immunization must have been given on or after their 7th birthday.  Please have your parent bring your updated immunization record to the health office so we may update our records.  Your student will not be able to register or attend classes for the 2017-2018 school year without proper documentation of this immunization. 

Attention all students: if you want to have fun by earning cool prizes and delicious snacks come learn your multiplication facts at Math Masters on Tuesday and Thursdays, the first 15 minutes of 5th period lunch in room H-8. Sixth graders will earn extra credit in core math classes, don't miss out an easy way to learn your math facts and having fun doing it! 

Attention to any 8th grade students attending El Camino next year with an interest in Aquatic Sports (water polo and swim).  There will be a short informational meeting in Ms. Ochsner’s room C-3 at the beginning of lunch Wednesday, May 24, 2017.  - Coach Ochsner & Coach Wagner

Attention Lions: Yearbooks are still available for pre-order.  Quantities are VERY limited.  It looks like we will sell out this week, so hurry!  The cost is $45.00.  Beginning this Wednesday, May 24th, the cost goes up $50.00.  Don’t miss out!”

 

“Attention Lions going to the Yearbook Signing Party: you will receive a wrist band this Wednesday during your 4th period class.  It will be a staggered entry, per grade level, to the party during 7th period.  All-calls will be made to come to the MPR.  Please bring your personal belongings.  You will be dismissed from school from the MPR.  See you there!”    

 

8th. Grade Boys basketball camp held at Alliant University June 26-28. Hosted by Jared Dudley and Devin Booker from the Phoenix Suns. Coaches from area High Schools will be there including Coach McMillan from El Camino.  See Ms. McKenney for information flyers.
