Make Money for King Every Time You Grocery Shop!!!

Dear Parents and Staff,

Here is an easy way for our school to make money, and it doesn't cost you a thing!  We all have to eat, so we are asking you to register your Ralph's grocery store cards (and Von's, Macy's, or other participating merchant cards ~ see the Escrip merchant list).  Tell everyone you know to register theirs as well.  All you have to do is take a few minutes to register, then use your cards when you shop!!!

Estimados padres,

Welcome to King Middle School where we are working to create a safe haven for students in a college bound school culture. Working together with parents, we are confident that we can ensure both the safety of every student and each student’s academic success. Our number one priority will be to continue transforming the "culture" of our school where students are safe, challenged, supported, engaged and successful.

Student of the Quarter

paw.jpgKing Middle School has a new program recognizing excellence in our students.  We try to focus on as many aspects of middle school life as possible in our recognition.  Academic growth, social skills, citizenship, improvement, and dedication are but a few of the areas for which our staff recognizes excellence.

One of the honors of great significance at King is our Student of the Quarter Award.  Our SOTQ assemblies recognize students who have demonstrated Kindness, Integrity, Never-give-up, and Generosity.  We are proud of the students who exhibit these values here at King and encourage those parents with nominated students to attend the SOTQ ceremonies.

ZAP Program (Zeros Are Prohibited)

ZAP.jpgWe’d like to take this opportunity to introduce a NEW and exciting support program that we are implementing on November 8th. To enable each student to be successful at King Middle School, it is critical they understand and complete their assignments.   Beginning with all math classes, any day that your child’s math homework is not complete, he/she will be required to stay after school the next school day from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in our after school tutorial program to complete the assignment.

Each student will be receiving a copy of this letter in their math class.  Click HERE  for all the information in English and Spanish.
